In short. Your audio is never sent to us or stored by us. We keep your email address, the job descriptions you paste, your answers as text and your debriefs, so you can sign in and compare interviews. We do not sell any of it, show it to employers, or use it to train models. Email support@withmagic.ai and everything we hold about you is deleted.
Who we are
AI Interview Practice is operated by WithMagic, in California, United States. Contact: support@withmagic.ai.
Your voice and your audio
When you answer out loud, your browser turns your speech into text. We receive only that text. We never receive, record or store your audio.
Your browser may use its maker's speech service to do this. In Google Chrome, for example, audio is processed by Google's speech recognition service under Google's own privacy policy. If you prefer, you can type your answers instead, and no speech service is involved.
What we store
- Your email address. To send you sign-in links and receipts. Nothing else is sent to it unless you ask.
- The job descriptions you paste. The interview is planned from them.
- Your interviews. The questions asked, your answers as text, and your debrief. They are kept so you can see past debriefs and whether a gap keeps coming back.
- Your purchases. What you bought, when, and how many interviews you have left. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- A sign-in cookie. One cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed for the service to work. We set no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Basic product and security records. Which steps you reached, and request records used to stop abuse and to limit how often sign-in emails can be sent.
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic, which provides the AI model that writes the interview questions and the debrief. Your job description and answers are sent to it for that purpose.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and sends our emails.
- Neon, which hosts our database.
- Stripe, which takes payments.
Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
What we never do
- Sell your data, or share it with employers or recruiters.
- Use your interviews to train AI models.
- Store your audio.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires it for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@withmagic.ai from the address you signed in with. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have further rights under local law, and you may complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest with our providers. Sign-in uses single-use email links, so there is no password to steal.
Children
The service is for adults preparing for job interviews. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users by email.
